The Sweater

I used to have a blog.  I haven’t been there in a while.  At first I told myself that I was just in a funk.  That I was too busy since school started.  That my responsibilities were to great for me to devote the time required to write it.  Yeah.  That’s all bullshit.  It just didn’t suit me anymore.

What happened?  Well, I finally realized that after everyone and my brother found my blog, I just couldn’t be myself anymore.  I had to be someone who doesn’t curse, or talk about sex, or have sex.  Because of course my children are the result of virgin birth.  I couldn’t mention my mother without a phone call from my sister calling about how my mother called her crying.  And that was when I said something nice.

I just didn’t fit into what my blog had become.  It was my last year’s scratchy wool sweater.  Choking me at the neck, and making me itchy every time I thought about it.  And it’s been donated to Goodwill.
